About Me

Hi, I’m Ayla Daryabegi, a 19 year old artist based in Los Angeles. Art has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been drawing and painting since I was very young, and over time, it has grown from something I simply loved doing into one of the biggest parts of who I am.

My work mainly focuses on watercolor and ink, and I love painting people, places, architecture, and scenes that hold a sense of nostalgia or personal meaning. Growing up in Los Angeles has had a big influence on my work, and I often find inspiration in the places and everyday moments around me. I love being able to take a memory, photograph, or familiar place and turn it into something that captures how that moment felt to me.

My artwork has been shown at Ten Women Gallery, Fine Line Gallery, and Universal Art Gallery. I am also a co-owner and artist at Ten Women Gallery in Santa Monica, where I have had the opportunity to learn about both the creative and business sides of the art world.

Outside of my paintings, I also love working in design and creating merchandise. I’ve designed and produced merchandise for Santa Monica College as well as other businesses and organizations, which has allowed me to combine my interests in art, design, and entrepreneurship.

I’m constantly experimenting, learning, and finding new ways to express myself through my work. For me, art is a way of holding onto memories, appreciating the places and people around me, and turning everyday moments into something meaningful.
